Company Secretary
Jean founded the company in 1976 with Gary Norton and has managed the books and been the backbone of the company since it started, where she did everything from finding the existing premises to driving the van to opening the Bank account. The guru of knowledge at Nortons. She is a superb fly fisher in her spare time, quite amazing, in fact. She likes being busy, so she has no time for relaxing.
Stewart Norton
Company Director
Stewart has worked in Commercial roles for 25 years and gained his experience dealing with Key Customers & Suppliers before focusing on the family business and supporting all aspects of the business. A fan of England Rugby wherever they may play, as after 35 years of playing Rugby, sadly no longer plays due to injuries. Being active must run in the family, as he likes swimming, running, skiing and being outside in the countryside whenever possible.
Kevin Smith
Sales Director
Kevin joined the company in 2009 in Sales and soon became the Sales Director after dealing with several key customers. He has a vast technical knowledge of the Fastener Industry and is always happy to support customer needs and requirements and go the extra mile. Also, a keen Tottenham Hotspur fan.
Chris Pattinson
General Manager
Chris joined in 2020 as a Sales Co-Ordinator and has an Industrial supplies background. After a short period, Chris was made General Manager due to his quick learning, fantastic customer support, and ability to ensure all operational aspects were covered. He is a dedicated Aston Villa supporter.
Gary Cox “Gus”
Trade Counter Manager
Gary, or “Gus” to us, joined in 2008 and has managed the trade counter and dealt with customers and our engineering suppliers face-to-face for all these years. There is probably no fastener, fixing, tool, or consumable in the industrial and engineering world that Gus does not know. A world of knowledge! An avid Arsenal fan.
John Marks
Sales Co-Ordinator
John joined the team in 2023 and has dealt with customers for the last 25 years. He says he is still learning every day. Keen to help all existing and new customers with their Fastener requirements. The Football theme continues, and this time, a Manchester United Fan.
Sam Humphries
Accounts Assistant
Sam joined Norton’s in 2022 and assisted the business with accounts and deals with Customers & Suppliers’ Transactions. She likes her holidays, Yoga and reading to relax. She has no official Football team, though her son supports Luton Town, and she enjoys watching both children swim competitively.
Robert La Roche
Warehouse & Trade Counter Assistant
Rob joined Nortons in 2024 and handles goods in and out, assisting with the shop and day-to-day interactions with customers and suppliers. He comes from a service engineering background in white goods and has dealt with customers face-to-face for many years. He is into various forms of music and is also a keen guitarist, as well as a fan of the Premiership and international rugby.
